About Us
Kaizen is a Japanese expression used in the business world that means “continuous improvement on a daily basis”. That was our guiding principle when we combined our many years of teaching and horse experience and created Kaizen Farm in 2007. Our lesson program has a strong emphasis on safety, realistic progression, teamwork and inclusion as well as nurturing the sheer joy of being around horses.
We are a good fit for those who are looking for:
- trying out riding for the first time
- continuing their education
- returning after a career or children break
- a horse ‘fix’ but don’t have means or time for their own horse
- a varied program that goes way beyond just riding in an arena or limited to one discipline
- experienced lesson horses
- a place to board your own horse with everything here from instruction to barn-mates to shows
- a great 26 acre facility that includes
- a covered arena
- a dedicated dressage arena
- a large 300 by 150 foot arena for jumping, games and general fun times
- introductory cross country course on grass including a water complex
- show jumps
- mounted games equipment
- trails and trail obstacles
- The Loft – our heated lecture and party room above the barn
- instructors who are
- dedicated to providing a learning environment
- continually studying to improve their own knowledge of riding and teaching
- knowledgeable that every horse and rider combination are unique and “one size” doesn’t fit all
